Once the world was normal. The day after the change, there were new creatures galore and nearly every human had vanished. The survivors gathered together to make a new society and Sophie, a seventeen-year-old from Oregon, does her best to fit in. I'm currently re-reading this in fervent anticipation of "Forests of Dreams" which is supposedly coming out soon! And I realized that I hadn't yet left a review, so I figured I'd go ahead and spread the word about how awesome this author is, and how much I enjoy her (non-Bubba) work.Picking up after "Sea of Dreams", "Mountains of Dreams" explores a very different reality in the US, and it's fascinating how things play out. The characters are developed, and Ms. Bevill is excellent at utilizing foreshadowing. There are no random dangling plots with her, which is something that I really appreciate.

Mountains of Dreams eBook Bevill CL Reviews
I would recommend this book to every one . It is a great thriller/ love story /with a little comedy thrown in. I could not put it down. I hope that we will see a number (3) three to this series soon , with more to follow . Both books (1) one & (2) two would make great movies or series of movies if the books were actually followed correctally.
I absolutely love C.L. Bevill and have read almost everything she has published. If you haven't read Sea of Dreams, make sure you read that first before continuing on with this review )
Mountains of Dreams brings you back into the Dream world about a year after Sea of Dreams finished. You get to enjoy another wonderful adventure, try not to hate certain characters so much and learn a great deal more about the Dream world. I was thrilled when I saw this book had been released as I had been waiting anxiously for it after completing the first book. I can't wait to see where Ms. Bevill brings us next!
C. L. Blevill has created a world that is different and interesting, holding your attention and exciting the imagination. I am eagerly looking forward to the rest of the series.
Very good story about a17 year old that wakes up in a world where everybody has vanished. She learns many lessons including how strong she is as a survivor. Many elements of fantasy that I love in the right mixture.
this is the second book in this series and I couldn't stop reading it. I like the conuing story and the development of the characters. The plot had a few twists that threw me but soon became clear as the story continued.
This is the 2nd in a 2 book series. It ends well. It could be picked up and added to, and I actually would like the author to continue to write stories about this new world.
Characters are well developed and the plot works. There are typos, but it is only a few and none are glaring.
I whipped through this story as well, stopping only when I had to charge the , much to my family's disgust.
C.L. Bevill does a excellent job of bringing you into a world of what could have happen any time or any day to all of us. What would you do if you woke up and found your world gone? What would you do if you seen a bunch of new animals around you? And the great big What would you do without electronics? Oh yeah!! You would have to think and try to remember what your parents, grandparents were trying to get you to do. I think it is awesome, well written. I can not wait till there is a next one, I hope there is a next one. But like the great Alfred Hitchcock did to his stories maybe that will happen here. We all knew there would be no real ending but you were still watching/reading to see what he thought would happen. There has never been anyone since him that could pull this off but an interesting thought to see if anyone would try it and maybe today's society they wouldn't be able to handle such mysteries. I like the way C.L. takes a teenage and makes them grow up very fast right before your eyes. Sophie finds out what the real "new" world is really about but as an adult I see that she is just facing what the real world is all about. People lie, people will do anything that is necessary to get what they think is best for them and their followers. People are scared, loving, and just as unsure of themselves as she is but someone has to take the lead don't they? Good readying worth the money.
